Webdesign ☆。*

This is more of a hobby I picked up completely on accident. I quickly got bored and frustrated with the limits that other platforms put on users when making their very own website or portfolio. I wanted to have more freedom over both customizing and the functionalities of my own portfolio. Thanks to a friend of mine, I got into coding and quickly learned my way around HTML and CSS. I'm not a professional webdesigner or have any studies on the matter, but it is something I'm proud of enough to share.

2024

I only started learning coding this year, so I limited myself to platforms that would give me the freedom to do my own coding, but already had an avid community of people who'd help eachother.

An extension of the previously mentioned tumblr blog! With this one, I tried to replicate the shops in the DELTARUNE game, since I have some characters based on that game. It was a good creative exercise on how to replicate game mechanics with limited coding, being that only HTML and CSS were used.

Tumblr is another social media that's more popular amongst niche circles and fandoms. They also allow their users to stylize their profiles with HTML, CSS and Javascript. I've been on Tumblr for a few years now but only recently got around to playing with the coding of my websites. To test it out, I designed a Windows 7 themed blog after one of my characters. The blog has a lot of hidden links and tabs with secrets and a whole story to uncover, making it a cool interactive experience for anyone who likes to do some digging.

Toyhouse
Toyhouse is a website where you can make profiles for your original characters and stories, upload art of them and keep it all organized. It allows its users to stylize their profile and their tabs exclusively with HTML and its < style > tag, giving users some freedom to play around with how they'd like to present their characters and stories to the world. It should however be noted that local and global CSS is locked behind a monthly subscription to the platform. This was the website where I started playing around with coding to personalize my own profile and the biographies of my characters. It's a little unpolished in some places but it's where it all started.
