The Prototype, also known as Experiment 1006 and Ollie, is the overarching antagonist of ther Poppy Playtime series. As his name implies, he was the first succesful experiment from a study which attempted to turn children into immortal toys. Said science was later use to bring Playtime Co's founder's daugher back to life after her tragic passing.

Now the leader of the remaining toys after the dethrowning of the humans from the Playtime Co. facility, the Prototype aims to recapture the reason for his existence: Poppy Playtime herself. After all, without her, infinity will be lonely.

I'm so honest when I say this: this was not on the bingo card for 2026. I always liked kids/mascot horror; I was the FNAF kid, I followed the original Bendy and The Ink Machine game as the chapters were coming out. I just wasn't expecting this to be the game that got me but wow it did.

I remember watching a playthrough of the chapter once it came out - probably the Jacksepticeye one - and this mf just showed up and everyone was like "eww jester why does he look like that". I thought the same at the time, I'm not that into clown/jester designs so it wasn't anything amazing to me. It looked cool but I wasn't the target audience. It slowly started to grow on me as I made jokes about it; "oh haha he's kinda shaped like one of my ocs hehe anyways-"

And then it didn't go away and I started drawing him non-stop on my sketchbook. That was fun. My only saving grace is that at the time of writing this, tarifs are ruining any chance I have of ordering merch of him online (ty local artists, support local artists). Hope to find more little merch of him at local cons - got a sticker of him hehe - and that'll be it for a while, which I'm fine with.

Things I like about this freak:

• Bro has my primary colors as his main color palette. It's pretty. That's that.
• He gives me the same protective instincts people had over the FNAF dead children back in the day. They were just kids man :(
• He walk funny. Did u see that he's like a spider. What the hell man. He's so weird I love it.
• Bro is oozing theater kid energy. Did you see him in the "Wrong Side Out" music video? THEATER KID.
• His stupid insane overbite. That side profile is DIABOLICAL.

But seriously now; seeing this guy have ONE recorded instance of acting like an actual child destroyed me. Same happened in FNAF, they're all dead kids inside, but you just know they're kids. You don't know what they like, what they were like, hell we didn't even know what their names were for almost a decade. In the same chapter you properly meet the Prototype in all of his terrifying glory, you also hear him as a kid, already so upset with life and knowing too much for his age. It makes me sad man. I guess it especially gets to me cuz I'm the big sister to my younger brother, so it really got to me for some reason.

But I also do love me a good revenge-tragedy storyline.

There's like 5 layers of tragedy here and I could write a whole essay here about a character who I'M MAKING A SHRINE FOR, but I lowkey just wanna ramble about him man. My giant spider robot immortal son thing.
