Milford
- Milford
Milford is a corrupted Addison who lives underground, under Cyber City. He was a promoter for a now defunct web browser who tried to sabotage his competition by releasing Bugz - computer bugs - onto their programs. Due to a weird accident, those same Bugz turned on Milford and corrupted him beyond repair. He now lives underground, taking care of the now dead browser in the shape of a giant Bugz and Maus ridden library.
He's a cut-content character from the DELTARUNE : CHAPTER [[GARY]] project. He would've been a shop-keeper and mini-boss, with his Library being a game segment and area to explore.
Profile
Milford is an upbeat but scatterbrained guy. He's very dapper and likes to keep himself always presentable, but he finds himself wandering and rambling more often than not, though always brushing it off as something quirky instead of worrying. Compared to everyone else who had their lives ruined by Gary, Milford seems to be the only person who still has his life together after having it crash down around them. They're not perfect, but they live comfortably. He still enjoys his job as a "librarian", taking care of a defunct browser that he knows nobody uses anymore. He's becomed too attached to the product he was supposed to sell, and the numerous Bugz that now live there, as they seem to be all the company he nas now-a-days. Milford seems to be a very lonely person, but they have the mental capacity to not let it take hold of themselves. He's the only victim from Gary's meddling to still have his shit together.
Story
In the very beginning of the internet, browsers were just emerging. Lightners could pick the way they wanted to explore the vastness of the world wide web, and the competition to be their browser of choice was fierce. Most advertisers would rely on Addisons to show off their products... but again, the competition was cutthroat. Everyone wanted to have their product picked from the hundreds of others in the market. Milford wasn't anything special, at least not enough compared to other Addisons.
One night while stressing over his job, Milford spotted two critters in his little house: a maus and a bug. Bugs were dangerous things: one bite, and they could make you glitch and, worst case scenario, completely shut down in front of customers. Nobody would trust a faulty, buggy browser. With this, the Addison had an idea. If he couldn't be better than the competition, he'd just have to be smarter. Before any showcasing of their browsers, Milford would let loose a few bugs next to his competition, making them glitch and panic enough for him to take the limelight.
People were getting hurt, but as long as Milford fulfilled his job, nothing else mattered to him. Milford was sure to keep his little bug army secure. He would always remember to close and lock their enclosures tight to prevent them from harming him... he was sure he'd done so that day too. Regardless of how it happened, his little critters got out and turned on their owner. The Addison was corrupted beyond repair, the entire browser he advertised for crashing down with him into obscurity.
Now plagued with the same fate he'd spread over his competitors, Milford lives underground with his own buggy browser. Its vast halls of books and documents contain almost anything anyone could learn about, but heavily guarded by dangerous bugs and critters who now call Milford one of them.
Relationships

Gary
Milford doesn't hate him. They know it was Gary's fault that they ended up like this, but Milford reasons that he somwwhat had it coming. Milford knew the risks of meddling with Bugz and cheating his way to the top, and now he pays the price for his actions. Even so, he reasons that he's happier this way; he doesn't have to work as much, can stay comfortably where he is without the constant anxiety of having to sell a product to the masses, and he gets to take care of all his new Bugz friends.

Sul
Milford thinks he's crazy. Somehow, Milford learns that more people were affected by Gary's actions and are now planning on taking revenge on the man for ruining their lives. It's unknown how Milford knows as much as he does, but he's somewhat aware that this is not the right way to go about it, and despite not outright saying that he doesn't like Sul, it's implied that Milford disagrees with Sul's radicalism on killing Gary outright.
Trivia
- Since Maice are a huge problem in the library, nibbling on bookmarks, other bugs and even Milford himself are tasked with scaring them off and, in worst cases, eat them.
- Even if dangerous to touch, most Bugz will do as Milford asks, fetching hyperlinks and bookmarks for quick and efficient search results. If encountered while browsing the Library, Bugz will not attack the player unless the player approaches or runs directly into one.
