M1N-US

M1N-US, often referred to as Min, is a robot Toon that live sin Wasteland. It was created by Adelaide and Elodie with the sole purpose of helping Adelaide travel around MickeyJunk Mountain to find his missing body parts. With time and help from Elodie, Min grows an identity of her own and becomes more than just a machine for her creators now turned friends. M1N-US currently lives in MickeyJunk Mountain with Elodie and Adelaide.

In-game, Min would've been a character to get quests from; Sparks, Collectables and Tickets.

Profile

Appearence

M1N-US is a vaguely mouse-shaped robot toon. Her body has the proportions of old 1920s "rubberhose" cartoons, mismatched with robotic parts. Min's skin is a metallic warm grey, with her face a muddy white color. Her nose is a round blue lightbulb, the left side of her face a grey, smooth metal surface. On the right side, she has a single pie-cut eye. She has no mouth. Min's torso is the same white color as her face, her sleeves are short and puffy in a muddy blue color with white rims. Her torso is an exposed metallic pipe, her skirt a shape similar to her sleeves and the same shade of blue. Her arms are robotic, segmented pipes with hinges at the elbows. Her hands are segmented at the fingers and wrists, also grey. Instead of legs, Min stands on two metal pipes that connect in a single black wheel below her. From her lower back sprouts a metal cable that resembles a stiff tail with two black wires hanging off the end of it.

Her color palette can change to reflect how she's been affected by the player's Playstyle Matters, though the colors described above are the ones she's seen most often in.

Personality

M1N-US starts her existence as a serving machine. She doesn't have much of a personality of her own, as she wasn't created to have one in the first place. Under Adelaide's orders, Min a simple though resourceful helper, speeding over piles of trash and debris to do whatever Adelaide requests of her. Under Elodie's influence, M1N-US is given the nickname "Min", which helps humanize her a little more. She slowly grows a will and personality of her own as she's given a world of opportunities and options outside of the ones Adelaide gives her. Min is still figuring itself out, what it likes and what it doesn't like. It's a very experimental and outgoing robot, even if she's still a little nervous about trying new things. Even so, Min wants to be a helping hand. She aims to please her friends and do the best she can for the people who made her - literally. She's practicallt attached by the hip to Adelaide and Elodie, viewing them as her small family.

Story

M1N-US was constructed by Adelaide and Elodie in MickeyJunk Mountain. Her directive was to help the two toons who created around their home, though more often than not, she was dragged outside into the mountain with Adelaide to help her in her quest to find her missing parts. M1N-US spends its first few days as a helper robot and not much more than that. It got to know a little more about its first creator; how she seemed desperate to find whatever was missing from her body, refusing to rest or return to her original home until she could make herself "whole again". As time went on, Elodie started stealing M1N-US for herself so that Adelaide couldn't keep it with her all the time. Elodie is the first to give M1N-US nicknames like Min and Wheelies, though the last one was more of an insult that never stuck. With her, Min started forming her thoughts and opinions as Elodie, despite usually being rude, seemed to have enough of a heart to ask her what things she preferred; from colors to snacks she obviously wouldn't be able to eat. Even so, Elodie got her in a lot of trouble, still being her usual trickster who took advantage of Min's gullibility until it too grew its own need to get back at Elodie every once in a while.

During all game routes, M1N-US would be the least interactable character from the group, simply being able to give Mickey some quests for Sparks, Collectibles and Tickets. Most differences between each route come more as consequences of what would happen with Adelaide and Elodie.

Hero

During the Hero route, Min is seen with Adelaide in Ostown during the last battle against the Blot, fighting off Blotlings. At the end of the game, she returns to Mean Street with Adelaide to be reunited with Elodie.

Wastelander

During the Wastelander route, Min is the first one to find out about Elodie being a Blotling, though she has trouble relaying that to Adelaide. At the end of the game, Min is seen with Adelaide looking for Elodie. It is implied they never find her, and Min returns to OsTown with Adelaide.

Scrapper

During the Scrapper route, Min's body is destroyed as she tries to protect Adelaide from Elodie, who'd already reverted to her Blotling form by then. She survives, being reduced to a head like other Animatronics. At the end of the game, Min is taken to Tomorrow City by Adelaide, who hopes to fix her there. It's left unclear what happens to Min after that.

Relationships

Adelaide

Big sis creator. Adelaide was the first toon M1N-US had contact with. Being her creation, Min is naturally inclined to serve and please Adelaide however she can. As she grows a personality of her own, she starts to regard Adelaide as more of an older sibling, the other recognizing Min as her own person and not a machine anymore. She's still excited to help Adelaide in her little excursions throughout MickeyJunk Mountain, but can have a mind of her own to admit whenever she doesn't feel like tagging along for whatever reason.

Elodie

Also big sis, worst influence ever. Elodie is who gave Min the freedom and reins to form a personality of her own. She pushed and probed at Min's usually calm, robotic demeanour until she got a reaction, somewhat surprised her constant nagging had a good outcome for once. Min also refers to Elodie as a big sis, which Elodie takes advantage of a lot. She sees it as another enabling to order Min around, though as she gets to see Min grow into her own person more and more, she bothers her less and less. She's a weird balance of tough love and positive enabling, learning how far to push things until Min believes she's learned something new about herself. For that, Min holds her in great regard.

Trivia

• M1N-US is one of my oldest ocs ever. She was created shortly after the first game's release (2010-2012) and has changed the most out of the trie since then. The character went through a complete redesign to turn her into a creepy Minnie knock-off to a robot made of scraps.
  
• Like other Epic Mickey ocs of mine, a lot of them were repurposed for other fandoms with similar aesthetics, such as Bendy and The Ink Machine. Despite sharing the name, the two characters stand still very differently from each other.
