TV Studio Tower
- Gary
TV Studio Tower, sometimes just referred to as the studio or the tower, is an area in CHAPTER [[GARY]] referring to the filming studio for Gary's news segments and his presumed living quarters.
It's an area in-game present in both routes, as being the main focus of the Insider Route, but also being the area where the chapter opens and closes on.
Main Story
After traversing the Dining and Deal Districts and meeting Ben at the Railway Station, they get taken inside the TV Studio Tower through the tourist entrance. There, they meet Gary and have their first boss fight with him. Depending on what route the player chooses, they'll get more or less access to the TV Studio Tower.
Insider Route
During the Insider Route, a major part of the story is spent inside the TV Studio Tower, since the party is locked inside after their first boss fight with Gary. At the end of the game, the final boss fight of the game is located at the rooftop of the TV Studio Tower, with extra boss fights (GIGA Gary and EggShells) happening in the railway system that connects all locations in-game.
Outsider Route
During the Outsider Route, access to the TV Studio Tower is extremely limited. The player is able to meet The Additons at a back entrance to the tower, though they never go inside the tower until the final act of the route.
Sublocations
FLOOR A
Floor A is the top floor of the studio and the first area the party arrives at when entering the TV Studio Tower. It is the most packed place regarding important areas, such as bedrooms, offices and shops. It is also the area where the party fights Gary for the first time. It is also the area where most of the work to get the secret boss is done.

- Tourist Entrance : The Tourist entrance is the entrance area into the tower, where Ben arrives while bringing the party with him. It is also the area where the GiftShop is located.
- News Set : The News Set is the area Ben brings the party to meet Gary for the first time in person. It is also the area where the first Gary bossfight takes place, and where the route decision is made. The area is still accessible after the boss fight, though it doesn't have much content to it besides some randomized items spawning in from time-to-time.
- GiftShop : The GiftShop is one of the two main shops in the Insider Route. It's located next to the Tourist Entrance and is run by Ben. In the shop, the player can buy healing items, armors and weapons, though the most important part of the shop is the interactions the player can have with Ben [SPOILERS AHEAD] since Ben is the secret boss of the chapter. Through many fetching quests to get the conditions met for the secret boss fight, the shop will close indefinitely.
- Warp Door : An empty doorframe is situated next to the GiftShop entrance. It is only activated once the player finds the Warp Door situated next to Swatch's shop on the Ground Floor.
- Ben's Room : Ben's Room is an area accessible to the player through puzzle solving. Inside, the player can find important items such as keys and tidbits of worldbuilding.
- Gary's Office : Gary's office is an area accessible to the player after getting the OFFICE KEYS from Ben after some fetching quests. Inside, the player can find the Shadow Crystal, among other important tidbits of lore and worldbuilding. The player also has a small chance of encountering an easter egg boss fight against one of Gary's Bugz pets.
- Break Room A1-A3 : Break Rooms are common areas on all floors where the player can find NPCs to converse with and items to collect. The areas are designed to have healing items spawn at random intervals for the player to take if necessary. Some of those healing items have descriptions that make them plot relevant as items that can be used for more than just healing, or give the player tidbits of lore and worldbuilding.

FLOOR B
Floor B is the top-middle floor of the studio and is where most puzzles for this area are. It is also the first floor the party finds to be in somewhat disarray, being much messier than its predecessor. This area also serves as a splitting point for the party, as part of the floor crumbles apart and leaves Kris stranded alone on the floor below. This floor is also more enemy-heavy than the previous one, even having a mini-boss fight.
- Break Room B1-B3 : Much like the Break Rooms in FLOOR A, these areas are common areas on all floors where the player can find NPCs to converse with and items to collect. The areas are designed to have healing items spawn at random intervals for the player to take if necessary. The enemies found inside Break Rooms seem not to be hostile and casually talk with Kris instead of attacking them. They'll also reveal how this part of the tower is mostly for storage, explaining how not many people are allowed down there and why the floors are more secured with enemies than in FLOOR A.
- Security Room : The Security Room is an area where the player can find PUP Monitor and PUPs, a mini-boss fight reminiscent of Tasque manager in the original Cyber City.
FLOOR C
Floor C is the middle-bottom floor of the studio, being used mostly for a chase sequence between Kris and Bugz, who swarm the decrepit hallways to chase them.
- Break Room : A single break room exists on Floor C. It is where Kris wakes up in after falling through the floor of Floor B. It has a single SAVE point, some healing and interactive items. As soon as Kris exits the Break Room, the chase sequence begins.
Ground Floor
The Ground Floor is the bottom floor of the tower, being an abandoned and destroyed version of the entrance from Queen's Mansion. This is where Kris finds their next important shop, the entrance to the Basement and a fast-travelling system inside the TV Studio Tower to take them directly back to Floor A. This whole area reveals that Gary's TV Studio Tower was built on top of Queen's Mansion.
- RGB : Red Grill BBQ : The Red Grill BBQ, RGB for short, is one of the two main shops in the Insider Route. It's located next to the now blocked entrance to the TV Studio Tower and is run by Swatch. In the shop, the player can only buy healing items, though the most important part of the shop is the interactions the player can have with Swatch. Through him, the player learns that Swatch used to live with Gary on the upper floors before he got thrown down here over a disagreement over Ben. [SPOILERS AHEAD] The player can also get a healing item that is important to unlocking the secret boss.
- Basement Entrance : A small crumbled door that leads into the basement.
- Warp Door : A Warp Door is situated in the same place as it would be in Queen's Mansion, next to Swatch's shop. When entered, it leads back to the Warp Door situated next to the GiftShop on FLOOR A.
Basement
The Basement is a secret area accessible through an entrance on the Ground Floor. It is an area the player can skip completely if they do not wish to get the secret boss. Is is also the location for another mini-boss.
- Foggy Hallway : Foggy Hallway is an area in the basement filled with purple smoke, making visibility low. During a scripted event, the player will have to dodge stray attacks aimed towards them as they run through the fog. Eventually, they'll encounter Wendy, the mini-boss of the Basement area.
- NEO CORE : The NEO CORE is an area in the basement where the remains of the NEO suit are stored. In there, through interactive logs and notes, the player learns that Gary has been using the remains of the NEO suit to create a machine powerful enough to make a portal to other Dark Worlds, or even other dimensions entirely.
Rooftop
The Rooftop is one of the last areas in the game. It is where the party heads to fight Gary for the last time. In the Insider Route, they discover a secret door in the News Set that leads to the rooftop, where Gary is hiding after sending the party on a wild goose chase looking for their Dark Fountain. In the Outsider Route, the party is given instructions by Sul on how to get to the rooftop directly.
Trivia
- The TV Studio Tower was inspired by the Tower of Babel due to its themes of trying to reach Heaven and some kind of god-like powers.
- The TV Studio Tower is surrounded by a giant lake of acid, preventing many people from being able to access the tower through other means besides through the railway system.
- In the Outside Route, the player manages to cross the acid lake through a cut off path, which leads them to the outside of the ground floor, where they can find the Additons in their shop.
