Eye Of The Storm

Eye Of The Storm, sometimes referred to as only the Storm, is the final boss fight of the Stay Up Late chapter.

In-game, it is implied that the Storm is the LunaLand DarkWorld's memory of Gary's attempted escape into the Light World. As such, the impact he left is translated as a giant storm that is destined to destroy LunaLand.

Profile

Appearence

The Storm appears as a large group of black and red clouds that cover the sky which occasionally releases bolts of cyan lightning. Red and blue eyes look down at the viewer from inside the clouds.

Personality

The Storm doesn't have a set personality and acts more as a force of nature. It is incredibly destructive and aggressive, striking lightning at anything that passes close by. It's also shown directly attacking the Fun Gang, Telly and Becky once they get to the literal eye of the storm. This reveals it has some sort of sentience, or at least that it reacts to being hurt.

Main Story

Chapter [[GARY]]

During the Stay Up Late chapter, the Storm is a looming threat in the horizon during the whole game. It slowly creeps closer to LunaLand, but its progress is set back to 0 with each rewind.

Once it finally reaches LunaLand, the Fun Gang, Lil' Telly and Becky set off to fight it together. Depending on if the player has recruited everyone inside LunaLand, Lady Ovnee will drop in to help the player with one of the boss fight phases. Once the player defeats the Storm, all of LunaLAnd ceases to exist.

In-Battle

Attacks

• Lightning Bolts : Bolts of lightning rapidly strike down at the bullet board, which stretches to fill the whole width of the screen. The lightning bolts are forewarned by a blinking "!" box.
• Tornado : Wind lines fill the bullet board as objects get pulled from the bottom of the bullet board upwards.
• Cloud Tunnel : Clouds appear at the top and bottom of the bullet board that quickly slide across it in a tunnel fashion. At the end of the attack, the clouds open up as red trajectory lines flash on screen before lightning strikes from all around the bullet board.
• Eye Of The Storm : The bullet board extends to fill the whole screen. A red and blue eye spawns at the middle of the screen, its iris following the SOUL as it moves around the board. The eye creates a vortex that sucks in four-star shaped bullets into itself, attempting to suck in the SOUL as well. It will blink shut for a moment before opening again to expel the same bullets much faster.

Trivia

• The Storm is implied to be a memory of Gary's attempted crossing into the Light World given shape in the LunaLand DarkWorld.
• Some of the Storm's attacks mirror ones of both Asriel's from UNDERTALE and the Roaring Knight's from DELTARUNE.
• Both the Storm and Asriel share attacks where lightning bolts strike the bullet board from above.
• Both the Storm and the Roaring KNight share attacks where both stand in the middle of the full-sized bullet board and attract bullets into themselves.
