Lady Ovnee

Lady Ovnee is a minor antagonist in the "Stay Up Late" chapter. She serves as a in-universe villain for Becky and Lil' Telly to fight against and protect LunaLand.

Profile

Appearence

Lady Ovnee is a female presenting Darkner with an appearance similar to the conventional alien. She has green skin and long, lanky arms and legs. Her hands have three fingers each without prominent thumbs. She has a round face with big, round eyes, each with two bottom lashes. Her hair is brushed back with a red headband, the back standing up into two sharp points. Two antennae sprout from under the front of her hair, ending in two small green balls.

Lady Ovnee wears a red shirt with short balloon sleeves over a wide black skirt, which resembles a typical UFO with small spherical lights sitting on the edges of the skirt. Yellow arm fittings sit under her sleeves with a matching yellow waistband separating her shirt from her skirt. She also wears ankle-length black boots with yellow rims.

Personality

Lady Ovnee is the stereotypical Saturday morning cartoon villain. She always appears with a new evil scheme to take over LunaLand, but always ends up outsmarted by Lil' Telly and Becky. She's the perfect amount of evil for a kid's cartoon, never taking things too seriously. She's hot-headed and stubborn, dead-set on conquering LunaLand all for herself, but not too bothered to wait for the perfect chance to do so. She can be very bossy around her plant minions, ordering them around to do her bidding and enact her evil plans.

Main Story

Stay Up Late

During the events of "Stay Up Late", Lady Ovnee is a small recurring villain who'll sporadically appear during the chapter for small bossfights and lore tidbits about Lil' Telly and Becky's relationship, the story of LunaLand and how the two little girls met. She'll also have a recurring gag with Rouxls Kaard, who'll become her servant for a small duration of the chapter before getting tired of him after her second bossfight with the Fun Gang.

She'll first appear at the beginning of the chapter as an introductory bossfight, taking the credit for the alien plants invading LunaLand. After being defeated by Lil' Telly, Becky and the Fun Gang, Lady Ovnee runs away with her remaining minions, yelling about her eventual return. As she runs away, Rouxls Kaard exits Kris' inventory to follow after her, trying his luck at being her next assistant.

Once Lady Ovnee returns for another attempt at a takeover or LunaLand, she's assisted by Rouxls Kaard, who joins in on her boss fight against the Fun Gang. Predictably, Rouxl's attempts at helping only hinder her plans for a successful takeover. She eventually ends the fight herself and runs off to escape Rouxls.

After that, she can be encountered around LunaLand, trying to just escape Rouxls. During that time, she can be interacted with as a normal NPC, even sparing some information about Lil' Telly and Becky; how they've been together for the longest time and rarely leave each other's side. She'll describe Telly as the power of the team and Becky as the heart of it; Lil' Telly being the main set piece of Becky's bedroom back in the day, being the whole reason why this DarkWorld looks the way it does.

Lil' Telly

One of the heroes of LunaLand, Lady Ovnee's first pain in the butt. Lil' Telly is one of the halves that make up LunaLand's group of magical girl defenders, being Becky's "magical pet" as Lady Ovnee describes them. She considers Telly to be the strongest of the duo, but also the more dependent one. Because of that, she finds it easier to separate Telly from the group and break her spirits down, something she can't do with Becky.

Becky

One of the heroes of LunaLand, the second pain in the butt. Becky is the other half of LunaLand's magical girl defense force; THE magical girl herself. Becky may not be the strongest of the two, but her spirit is unbreakable, her will to do good prevailing above everything else, which causes her to be a more persistent issue in Lady Ovnee's plans than Telly herself.

LunaLand Inhabitants

Future peons for her evil schemes. Lady Ovnee sees the inhabitants of LunaLand as future servants for her space empire of one. She'll sometimes use them as bait to lure in Lil' Telly and Becky into traps, though she rarely gets away with it.

• Lady Ovnee's name is derived from the European Portuguese acronym for UFO; "Objeto Voador Não Identificado" (Non Identified Flying Object), shortened to OVNI.


• Lady Ovnee was inspired by the villains from 90s and 2000s magical girl animes, which were usually either aliens or interdimensional creatures.
• Furthermore, she could've also been inspired by horror movies from the 1950s, more specifically alien horror movies such as "The War of the Worlds" (1953) and "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" (1956). Becky is mentioned to have one day seen a horror movie about aliens by accident while browsing through her TV's channels.
