Cherubs

Cherubs are Darkner enemies encountered in LunaLand. They're usually provoked to attack if Kris falls into one of their traps or pranks scattered around the map.
Cherubs are always encountered in groups of 3 and never by themselves, which makes them a group enemy.

Profile

Appearence

Cherubs are small bug-like Darkners. There are some differences amongst variants, but they all have big round heads with a variety of horns and pincers. Their bodies are small circles with chubby, short legs and two pairs of arms that end in small, round hands. They have white, round faces with tiny mouths and big, dark eyes.

There are three variants of Cherubs. Pink ones have five horns, two on each side of their head; blue ones have two bifurcated horns; and green ones have a single horn at the top of their head that splits into three nubs.

Personality

Cherubs are mischievous little things. They can be found all over LunaLand, usually plotting or enacting pranks on other Darkners. They tend to set traps for their prank victims to get caught in, which usually ends with them being part of some mostly harmless shenanigans. They're not outright malicious but can get into lots of trouble depending on who falls into their traps.

Main Story

Chapter [[GARY]]

Cherubs are small enemies that can be encountered all over LunaLand. They usually engage in battle with the player if Kris falls into one of their pranks or traps. They can also be found as passive NPCs that give the player tidbits of lore on Becky and Telly, Lady Ovnee and her plans, and the stories of LunaLand.

During cutscenes, they can also be found cowering from attacks of Lady Ovnee whenever she tries to take over LunaLand.

In-Battle

Attacks

• Each of the Cherubs throw different shaped bullets at the board: Pink throws hearts, Green throws stars, Blue throws moons. Running into or getting hit by the bullets deals damage.
• A fly swatter strikes down on the Bullet Board from above on the left, middle or right sections. The order of the swats is random. The three sections are highlighted with a blinking "!" box before the fly swatter slams down onto the board.

Trivia

• Cherubs are based off of beetles. They both share long horns/pincers, multiple arms and insectoid wings.
• Cherubs are named after the winged angelic beings mentioned in the bible.
