Swatch

In Gary's version of Cyber City, Swatch is stripped from his pastel colored head-buttler status and thrown in the role of a overworked fast-food manager.

Gary placed Swatch as the head of "RGB : Red Grill BBQ", a cyber grill place mimicking the one he used to go to after work when he was still hanging out with other Addisons. Despite keeping him around, Swatch is stuck at the bottom level of the TV Studio Tower, unable to leave out the blocked front door or go up to higher levels in the studio.

Profile

Appearence

Swatch is still very similar looking to his original self. He has a geometric, colorful bird-like appearance. He has a white face, black hair and feathers, the inside of his mouth orange. He wears orange-yellow tinted glasses. Swatch wears a half-black-half-white collared shirt with rolled up sleeves under a redish pink tie apron, which has 3 pens hanging off the top; one blue, one red and another green. Swatch also wears half-black-half-white pants, the colors inverted from the shirt, and half-black-half-white shoes that match with the shirt's colors.

Personality

Swatch still conducts himself in a polite and reserved way, though he appears much more scrambled and unsure of things during the chapter. He’s unsure of how he even got to this place, and how the passage of time seems to differ from his perspective to Kris’. Despite that, Swatch tries to keep his usual kind and collected demeanour, clearly enjoying seeing a familiar face after so long away from everyone else.

Main Story

Chapter [[GARY]]

At the bottom of the facility, the player would recognize the blocked off entrance of the building as being similar to the entrance to Queen’s Mansion. While trying to enter what once was the Color Cafe, they’re met instead with RGB: Red Grill BBQ, with Swatch still behind the counter. This is the first shop the player would find in this route.

Interacting with Swatch will reveal how not even he knew what was going on. One day he was in Castle Town, the other he was back in his Queen’s Mansion, or at least what remained of it. Swatch would seem confused, not completely aware of how long it had been since he was last in Castle Town. He’d still try to look his best and sound presentable for the player. Swatch had been forced to ditch his pristine butler status and work all day and night at a cyber grill place by Gary’s orders. Swatch is also accompanied by Queen, who’d been turned into a banana battery - she’s mostly comic relief. If asked about Ben, Swatch will say that he knows the boy, but he hasn’t seen him in a very long time. It is implied that Swatch used to be allowed near Gary and Ben, but something happened in between the two and Swatch was banished to the bottom of the tower.

As Kris exits the shop, they find another fast-travel passage that takes them back to the higher levels of the tower, Swatch now being an open shop the player can visit at any time.

Relationships

Gary

A friend, a partner, once someone. Gary continues the legacy Swatch and Spamton had, but now with the added bonus of uncertainty. With Gary’s unpredictability, having meaningful conversations with him was hard at first. However, knowing him for this long helped Swatch get through to Gary’s core. They ended up building a stable relationship; they never labelled it, but it was something. After Ben was born, however, things started going off the rails as they differed from how they wanted to take care of the kid. Eventually, after a particularly rough disagreement, Gary threw Swatch down into the lower levels of the tower, never to reach out to him again.

Ben

A son... of sorts. Both Gary and Swatch know Ben was an accident child, though this was never told to him. Ben was never told that Swatch helped raise him, even if he does remember someone else being around besides his dad, though he cannot remember who. Trapped in the lower levels of the studio, Swatch doesn't know what happened to Ben, if he's okay, if he ever made it. His hope of seeing him again is low, but he hopes to one d ay learn of what happened to him.

Trivia

• As mentioned in the shop dialogue section, Swatch is accompanied by Queen, who's been turned into a banana battery. This is a reference to Glados from the Portal games, who gets turned into a potato battery during the second game.
• Gary and Swatch's relationship was kept purposely ambiguos since in-game it's implied that, since the Big Shot era, Spamton and Swatch never labelled their relationship. It's clear that there is some kind of affection between the two, but what kind of affection that is was left undetermined.
