Bugz

Bugz (plural Nezt) is a Darkner enemy encountered Neo City and TvStudio Tower. They are often provoked to attack whenever Kris goes near food items.

Bugz are counters to Maus, being seen hunting them around the TvStudio Tower and described as "pests for pest control".

Profile

Appearence

Bugz are medium-small centipede shaped Darkners. Their body is long and segmented into six parts, a pair of legs per segment. They have two eyes on each side of their face, their antennae uneven as one is straight while the other is bent in sharp angles. At the end of their bodies, two tails sit at the tip of their last segment, equally bent in sharp angles. They come in three color variations: green and yellow, red and pink, blue and cyan.

Personality

Bugz are aggressive little insects shown to be very possessive and protective of food. They’re usually encountered in groups of three but can be found wandering alone. They appear to have a rivalry with Maus, which they hunt for food in the wild, and are used as “pest control” by Gary inside the TvStudio Tower. They’re described by Ben and other darkners as being very aggressive but skittish, preferring to be left alone and biting people if approached or being handled.

Despite this, Gary seems to be extremely fond of Bugz, being shown handling them with relative ease and engaging with them as if they were his pets. It’s hinted at that Gary has a personal Bugz pet that can be encountered in his office, but due to its extremely low chance of spawning an encounter, it’s not confirmed yet.

While looking around inside the TvStudio Tower, Kris and the party can run into Bugz. They’re more likely to spawn while entering and exploring Break Rooms, looking for food items. They can also be found chasing Maice around inside the TvStudio Tower.

If following the Outsider Route, Bugz can also spawn in the middle of any area in Neo City.

Inside Gary's office, there's a very small chance of a Bugz spawning in there while Kris looks for the Shadow Crystal. It's unknown if this is a personal pet or simply another Bugz.
