The Additons

The Additons are shopkeepers exclusive to the Outsiders Route, being accessible only if venturing into the outskirts of Cyber City. They run a shop similar to Spamton's, selling off-brand, broken products as if they were new. Later on, they undirectly assist Sul in his quest to break into the TV Studio Tower and take down Gary.

Profile

Appearence

Additons are short little guys wearing black v-neck shirts and accessories specific to each character; Blue wears a black beret hat with two green stiches, Yellow has an orange necktie with green stitches, Orange has a doctor's head mirror, and Pink wears a pink rose brooch pin. Their eyes are all white and permanently stuck in a squinting look, while their mouths hang open with a toothy white grin. All have colores cheeks with darker tones of their skincolor.

Personality

Each Additon specializes in a specific type of scamming:

• Blue is best with fast fashion, keeping you up with the latest trends and making you feel like you NEED that $29.99 t-shirt to feel like the true diva you are... only to sell you a piece of cloth that's barely being held together by its threads.
• Yellow is a master with investment scams; from crypto to offshore accounts and shady nigerian princes who want to give YOU half of their multi million dollar inheritance. All he asks of you is the first and last name, date of expiration and four numbers on the back of your credit card. You can trust him, look he even has a tie! This Additon means business!
• Orange has a doctorate in medicine... where he got that doctorate from is another conversation. He knows what the big pharma is hiding from you; all miracle cures, essential oils, weirdly colored protein shakes that'll cure cancer. He know you want it, he knows you need it!
• Pink is a heartbreaker - if you don't keep a steady inflow of dark dollars pouring into his pockets. The master of sweetheart swindles, he'll be sure to make you feel like royalty before leaving you in the dirt and running away with your money.

Main Story

History

Cursed to spend their lives the same way Spamton did, the Addisons were shrunken down to a Spamton-like state; being extremely corrupted and deceptive. They all live together in a dumpster on the back of the TV Studio Tower that they lovingly named "The Spam Folder".

Chapter [[GARY]]

Following a clue Ralsei gives Kris on where to find a secret entrance into Gary's TV Studio Tower, a nearby garbage container swings open to reveal four little guys living inside. They call Kris over, seemingly knowing who they are and welcoming them back like an old friend. This is the second shop of the route. The dumpster shop is run by four Spamton-looking Darkners: Blue, Yellow, Orange and Pink. When asking the shopkeepers who they are, they’ll tell Kris they’re just trying to make it in the world like everybody else, to not be shy and come on by. When asking about Cyber City, they’ll answer that it’s a wonderful place to live in… if you’re not on the streets, and tempt Kris to let them stick around their party. When asking about Ben, the Additons will express empathy and lament how blind the kid is to how his dad treats him. When asking about Gary, they’ll shame and mock the man for presenting himself as “the cure for all evils”, Pink even throwing in how Gary is “such a heartbreaker”.

Relationships

Gary

Lost companion and family but they're keept around for some reason. Their unresolved fallout lives rent-free in Gary's head, even if he'll never admit it. Instead of deleting or replacing his old friends with somebody else, Gary decided to curse them with the same life he'd lived as Spamton; to live in the garbage as tiny useless things. He only laments letting them live in the back of the TV Studio Tower since they tend to break into it so often. They taunt him with guesses of where his life is going, and if he regrets anything so far. They're quickly chased out of the TV Studio by guard dogs, but they know their words make it past Gary's contant poker face.

Ben

In Ben's eyes, they're weird little guys that keep sneaking into the studio. Ben gets jumpscared by them sometimes whenever one scuttles out from behind furniture or falls from a vent. They sometimes talk in riddles with Ben, warning him about the man who raised him and giggling at what might happen in the future. Ben usually just chases them off with a mop, or calls PUPs to run them out of the TV Studio.

Swatch

Swatch is aware of the Addisons and what they got turned into. They cross eachother whenever the Additons try to break into the tower to scavange and steal stuff to sell, but Swatch doesn't have it in him to stop them.

Trivia

• The name Additon comes from "Addison" with the -ton suffix from "Spamton".
• Each one of the Additons seem to be inspired by a specific type of online scam; Blue represents fast fashion, Yellow represents investments, Orange represents health supplements and Pink represents sweetheart swindles.
